Your neighbor needs you.

What does it mean to truly see your neighbor? Not just to notice them, but to sit with them, walk with them, and refuse to let them face hardship alone. That is the heart of the St. Vincent de Paul Society of North Central Indiana. For over a century, our Vincentian volunteers have done exactly that not from a distance, but up close. In living rooms and pantry lines. In the middle of an eviction and at the edge of a family losing hope. Person to person. Neighbor to neighbor. The Mission Breakfast is our new annual gathering of the people who make that possible. On Friday, September 18, 2026, we're inviting donors, partners, and neighbors who believe no one should face poverty alone to join us at the St. Joseph County Public Library in South Bend for a morning of stories, vision, and inspiration.

Featured Speaker: Ingrid Delgado National Director of Public Policy and Advocacy, Society of St. Vincent de Paul USA

We are honored to welcome Ingrid Delgado to the Mission Breakfast as our featured speaker.

Ingrid brings a rare combination of on-the-ground experience and national policy expertise to the work of serving people in poverty. Before joining SVdP USA to launch its first-ever Washington, D.C. advocacy office, she served at the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, worked in refugee resettlement and youth outreach with Catholic Charities, taught at an alternative high school, and even lived as a missionary in the Dominican Republic.

Today, Ingrid is working to ensure that the voices of our most vulnerable neighbors, people just like those SVdP North Central Indiana (NCI) serves every day in South Bend and Elkhart are heard in the halls of Congress.

At the Mission Breakfast, she'll connect the local work you make possible to the national conversation about poverty, homelessness prevention, and what it truly means to protect the most vulnerable. You won't want to miss it.

You'll also hear directly from the neighbors SVdP NCI has walked alongside — and from the volunteers who show up week after week to make it happen. You'll see what your generosity makes possible:

🏠 Emergency Financial Assistance that keeps families housed when crisis hits

🛏️ Sweet Dreams Ministry that ensures children have a safe, comfortable bed to sleep in

🥫 Food Pantry that greets hundreds of families every month with food and dignity

🚪 Home Visits where Vincentian volunteers sit with neighbors in their homes, listen, and help

This year, we're asking you to go further.

Our goal is $100,000 for resources that will fuel our ministries, deepen our impact, and allow us to say yes to more neighbors who need us. Every sponsorship, every gift, every person in that room is a statement: this community does not turn its back on its neighbors.

We would be honored to have you at the table.

A big thank you to our sponsors!
