This Summer, Be a Neighbor's Answer

Bella came to us facing eviction.

A Certified Nursing Assistant, she'd lost all but one patient, and the income wasn't enough to cover her rent. So we did what St. Vincent de Paul has always done: we went to her. Our volunteers sat at her kitchen table, listened, and helped her build a real financial plan then paid $700 of her overdue rent while Bella contributed $300 herself, because lasting stability is a partnership, not a band-aid.

Today, Bella is finalizing full-time employment and back on track to pay her rent on her own.
